In Warren County, property owners of all buildings where people live, work, or assemble shall provide for the sanitary treatment of all sewage from such buildings by disposal into an on-site sewage treatment system or central wastewater collection and treatment system.
These regulations were enacted for the purpose of regulating the design, construction, and modification of on-site sewage treatment systems in order to protect and promote the public health, safety, economic well being, and to prevent the spread of infectious, contagious, communicable, or dangerous diseases into Warren County Missouri. Diseases that can be spread by sewage include; Campylobacteriosis, Cryptosporidiosis, Escherichia coli Diarrhea, Encephalitis, Gastroenteritis, Giardiasis, Hepatitis A, Leptospirosis, Methaemoglobinaemia, Poliomyelitis, Salmonellosis, Shigellosis, Paratyphoid Fever, Typhoid Fever, and Yersiniosis.
